Signposts #2: Dawn Chorus – John Neville

Canadian wildlife sound recording artist John Neville has been recording wildlife and the birds of his native Canada for a number of years. When he made contact asking to use a recording I had made of a Nightingale in a presentation on the dawn chorus at this year’s International Ornithological Congress in Vancouver, I was flattered.

John was in touch again recently with the news that the presentation had become a CD and kindly sent me a copy.
Dawn Chorus is a collection of recordings, most of them made by John, but also includes other recordists Simon Elliott, Sid Curtis, Lang Elliott (and myself) brought together with John’s narrative that illustrate the variety of sounds to be heard in Dawn Choruses across the world.

Copies of the CD are available here as well as on iTunes here
